Pavement Rehabilitation Projects

All listed completion dates are tentative and subject to change

Willis Road

Old Highway 30 to Emmett Road 
Project: This project consists of pavement removal, excavation, new gravel base, and a new asphalt mix pavement surface on a little more than 2 miles of roadway. Minor changes to vertical curves, grades, and road width are anticipated to provide greater safety and consistency throughout this road segment. Pipe replacements and extension, and ditch grading will occur to improve drainage. This road will be closed to thru traffic during construction with provided access. A large pipe at East Harley Gulch will be replaced ahead of the road construction and will require a road closure to all traffic as described under the Pipe Projects below.  
Status: This project is currently under design. Pipe work is anticipated to begin in late February 2018, with the pavement rehabilitation work starting in March 2018.  
Completion Date: May 2018

Ustick Road

Beet Road to Weitz Road 
Project: Rehabilitation of the pavement  in this 1.5 mile long project will be accomplished by pulverizing the existing failing asphalt pavement and leaving it in place to provide additional gravel base depth.  A 1/4-mile section will require excavation and new gravel base. After grading the pulverized asphalt with additional crushed gravel as needed and minor grading to improve the ride, a 4" thick asphalt plant mix pavement surface will be constructed. This road will be closed to thru traffic during construction with a detour. However, local traffic and services (mail, garbage, and emergency services) will be provided access. 
Status: This project is currently under design and construction is anticipated to occur in summer 2018.
Completion Date: Summer 2018

Lake Avenue

Lone Star Road to Karcher Road (Hwy 55)
Project: Rehabilitation of the pavement in this 2 mile long project will be accomplished by pulverizing the existing asphalt pavement and leaving it in place to provide additional gravel base depth. The pulverized asphalt supplemented with additional crushed gravel will then be graded to provide a uniform roadway and improve the ride. This will be followed by construction of a 4" thick asphalt plant mix pavement surface. This road will be closed to thru traffic during construction with a detour. However, local traffic and services (mail, garbage, and emergency services) will be provided access. 
Status: This project is currently under design and construction is anticipated to occur in spring 2018. 
Completion Date: Spring/Summer 2018

Lake Lowell Avenue

Lake Avenue to Midway Road 
Project: This slightly less than 1 mile long project consists of several components. The easterly 1/4-mile will involve pavement removal, excavation, new gravel base, and a new asphalt plant mix pavement surface. The remainder of the project will have a 2" asphalt overlay and includes the replacement of aging guardrail with new guardrail. Minor pipe replacements and extension, and ditch grading will occur to improve drainage. This road will be closed to thru traffic during construction with a detour. However, local traffic and services (mail, garbage, and emergency services) will be provided access. 
Status: This project is currently under design. Pipe work is anticipated to begin in summer 2018.
Completion Date: Fall 2018

Lake Avenue

Karcher Road (Hwy 55) to Homedale Road 
Project: This 1 mile long project consists of pavement removal, excavation, new gravel base, and a new asphalt plant mix pavement surface. Pipe replacements and extension, and ditch grading will occur to improve drainage. This road will be closed to thru traffic during construction with a detour. However, local traffic and services (mail, garbage, and emergency services) will be provided access. 
Status: This project is currently under design. Pipe work is anticipated to begin in summer 2018.
Completion Date: Fall 2018

Lansing Lane

Middleton Mill Ditch Culvert Widening:

Newman Lateral Canal Culvert Replacement:

Pipe Projects

Weitz Road

At Dixie River Road 
Project: This project involves replacement of a failing corrugated metal pipe arch under  Weitz Road just north of Dixie River Road and includes grading the road to decrease the slope and add cover over the new pipe. 
Status: Pipe installation is complete and miscellaneous work, including a concrete connection and road grading is anticipated to be complete by February 2018.
Completion Date: February 2018

Lincoln Road

Between Georgia Street and Mason Road 
Project: This project involves replacement of a deteriorated 48" corrugated metal pipe under Lincoln Road approximately 1/4-mile east of Georgia Street with 42" reinforced concrete pipe. The pipe will be extended on the north side to provide a safer roadside. A concrete box on the south side will allow connection to an existing corrugated metal pipe from the west and a change in direction of the concrete pipe to align with the drain to the east, and eliminating a portion of the deep drain along the road. This road will be closed to traffic at the pipe crossing location during construction with a detour. Local traffic and services (mail, garbage, and emergency services) will be coordinated with for access. 
Status: Project design and permitting are complete. Construction is anticipated to begin early February 2018. Temporary pavement patching may be necessary until permanent asphalt pavement restoration can be properly constructed due to temperature and weather conditions. 
Completion Date: February 2018

Willis Road

Between Freezeout Road and Emmett Road 
Project: This project involves replacement of a deteriorated 36" corrugated metal pipe under Willis Road and the Canyon Hill canal approximately 1/4-mile west of Emmett Road with 60" HDPE pipe. Precast concrete headwalls will be constructed on each end and a new canal overflow structure will be included. This road will be closed to traffic at the pipe crossing location during construction with a detour. Local traffic and services (mail, garbage, and emergency services) will be coordinated with for access.  
Status: Project design and permitting are near completion. Construction is anticipated to begin in late February 2018. Rehabilitation of Willis Road will begin shortly after completion of the pipe project.  
Completion Date: March 2018

CanAda Road

At Dixie River Road 
Project: This project involves replacement of a failing corrugated metal pipe arch under CanAda Road approximately 1000' north of US 20/26 with a new coated corrugated metal pipe and a concrete box structure. This road will be closed to traffic at the pipe crossing locations during construction with a detour. Local traffic and services (mail, garbage, and emergency services) will be coordinated with for access.  
Status: Project design and permitting are complete. Construction is anticipated to begin early February 2018. Temporary pavement patching may be necessary until permanent asphalt pavement restoration can be properly constructed due to temperature and weather conditions. 
Completion Date: February 2018

Midland Boulevard

Between Ustick Road and Linden Road 
Project: This project involves replacement of a deteriorated 36" corrugated metal pipe with concrete extensions under Midland Road approximately 1/4-mile north of Ustick Road with 48" reinforced concrete pipe. The pipe will be extend on both sides to provide a safer roadside. This road will be closed to traffic at the pipe crossing location during construction with a detour. Local traffic and services (mail, garbage, and emergency services) will be coordinated with for access.  
Status: Project design and permitting are complete. Construction is anticipated to begin February 2018. Temporary pavement patching may be necessary until permanent asphalt pavement restoration can be properly constructed due to temperature and weather conditions.
